“The frontal plane bisects the athlete at mid-foot (dividing the athlete into anterior and posterior halves) and indicates where they are balanced.⁣ ⁣ Generally, an object like a barbell should move as closely as possible to the frontal plane, or in a vertical path. The athlete’s movement and technique should support a good line of action for the object being lifted (seen in the second panel).⁣ ⁣ To assess balance about the frontal plane, the trainer needs to watch the object’s movement relative to this vertical plane at mid-foot. ⁣” – Athlete #Fitness⁣
